After a summer hiatus after last year’s conference and being very busy with planning the 2014 conference next year, we have returned! We have some amazing things in mind for Life Gets Better 2014, so stay tuned for some big announcements! “Faces and Phases,” a photography project by South African Zanele Muholi, reveals the portraits – and lives – of LGBT people of color living in South Africa. The black and white photography is both graphically beautiful and emotionally powerful. Check it out on Huffington Post.
You wouldn’t think lesser-known New Hampshire would come out with a big news story, but that’s exactly what it did in its even lesser-known capital of Concord. In early October of this year, students at a Concord high school selected a transgender boy as their homecoming king. The Concord Monitor reports.
Pasta-giant Barilla putting out anti-gay remarks is old news, but did you hear that the president apologized for it? Genuine or not, it’s interesting to check out this Windy City Times article.
