Hello aca-fans! After a busy weekend here at Life Gets Better Together, we are back for this week’s presentation of the aca-blog. Every week here on the LGBT blog, we’re featuring one a cappella group a week. The groups featured will be the ones performing at the benefit concert immediately following the conference on April 13. So far we’ve featured Groovestand, The Mandarins, and Orange Appeal. This week, we are excited to feature Main Squeeze!
Main Squeeze was founded in 2003. The all-girls group was founded on the basis of providing an opportunity for girls who wanted to make music and have fun while doing it. They have performed at multiple on-campus events, including After Hours, as well as at the ICCAs in other cities. They are known for “cute choreography, girl-power anthems, and, most of all, [their] spunk.” According to Main Squeeze Business Manager Sydnee Corriders:
“To me, Main Squeeze is love. Everything that we do is based on our friendship and that, with a bit of talent is what makes us, us!”
The group has their own website on OrgSync, as well as a Facebook and Twitter – they welcome followers! You can also view some of their performances on YouTube. And, of course, be sure to catch them at this year’s benefit concert – after debuting at last year’s concert, they are returning this year. Don’t miss it on April 13th!
Before we let you go for the week, aca-fans, keep an eye out for our upcoming video! Life Gets Better Together spent this past weekend busy filming for a promo video that is sure to go viral, so stay tuned!
Next week we are off for Spring Break. Come back on March 18th for the featuring of Otto Tunes! Stay safe, and have a great break!
